Feast of Seven Fishes: How to make Cozze Vongole

It's that time of year again! The holidays are here, and for many of us, that means it's time to celebrate the Feast of Seven Fishes. This delicious tradition originated in Southern Italy and typically consists of seven different seafood dishes served on Christmas Eve. While recipes vary from family to family, we thought we'd share our favorite cozze vongole recipe with you all. This dish is guaranteed to be a hit with your guests!

Ingredients: -1/2 cup Olive Oil -6 cloves Garlic, peeled and thinly sliced -2 pounds Mussels, scrubbed and debearded -1/2 cup White Wine -1 (28-ounce) can diced Tomatoes, undrained -1/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes -1/4 teaspoon Salt -1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper -1/2 pound Linguine -Parsley leaves, for garnish Directions: 1. Pour the olive oil into a large Dutch oven or pot over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant. 2. Add the mussels, wine, tomatoes, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Discard any mussels that have not opened. 4. Meanwhile, cook the linguine in a large pot of boiling water according to package directions. 5. Drain the pasta and add it to the mussel mixture. Toss to combine. 6. Garnish with parsley leaves and serve immediately. Buon appetito!
